BASE BUILD (ONE-PAGE WEBSITE or HOMEPAGE) - £295
INCLUDES UP TO FOUR SECTIONS: Hero (top/intro) section plus services, offers, articles, testimonials/reviews, news, FAQs, about, contact, or any other type of section.
ALSO INCLUDES: Placement of up to 10 client-supplied images/graphics, header, footer, cookies banner, CTA (call to action) buttons, contact form, H1/H2/H3 headlines, social media links, complete site backup and placement of client-supplied text, image captions and alt text.
LEGAL PAGES: Placement of client-supplied legal pages (Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Terms and Conditions) is included. Guidance or production of these pages is available.
ADDITIONAL SECTIONS - £50
Includes placement of up to 4 client-supplied images/graphics plus CTA buttons, H1/H2/H3 headlines and placement of client-supplied text, image captions and alt text.
ADDITIONAL PAGES - £100
Includes placement of up to 10 client-supplied images/graphics plus CTA buttons, H1/H2/H3 headlines and placement of client-supplied text, image captions and alt text.
ADDITIONAL IMAGE PLACEMENT - £10 per image
Applies to all images beyond those included in your package, whether client-supplied or sourced on your behalf. Includes placement of client-supplied caption and alt text.
COPYWRITING CHARGES:
Search engine optimisation of client-supplied text - £0.08 per word
Original, search engine optimised text - £0.20 per word
OTHER CHARGES:
Squarespace platform fee - client paid. Starting at $12/month. Full guidance provided.
Royalty-free image sourcing fee - £25. (Placement charges, if applicable, are not included.)
Creation of image carousel (up to 6 images) - £35. (Requires “Core” Squarespace package.)
DOMAIN REGISTRATION - Client paid. Use the free domain provided by Squarespace or purchase one from a domain registrar. I recommend Namecheap. Full purchase guidance, domain connection and DNS setup included.
OTHER ADD-ONS AND SERVICES (pricing TBD):
Charts, maps, calendars, newsletters, blogs, Facebook Groups posting campaign, Google My Business setup and updates, logo/graphics creation/optimisation, voiceovers and video production. (If you need something not listed here, just ask.)
PAYMENT TERMS - 50% deposit required before work begins. Balance due on completion.
POST-BUILD REVISIONS: Revisions beyond the first round = 10% of the original build price per round.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE PACKAGE - 20% of original build price per year includes: up to 20% of your text and/or images updated or changed per year and twice-yearly reviews of your site including a full SEO and Google search rankings review, a new backup of all pages, a hyperlinks and CTA buttons audit and copyright updates as required.
Why Squarespace?
For one, experience. I've spent countless hours building several Squarespace websites recently and I know the platform very well. Also, I’ve worked with a WordPress developer who somehow created an unsolveable website function issue and quit the project.
Squarespace is better for most small businesses because:
COST. Squarespace is an all-in-one platform. As little as £12 per month covers hosting, security, the SSL certificate - everything you need. Keeping a WordPress website running can be surprisingly expensive. Costs for hosting, security, maintenance and especially plugins can increase quickly and unexpectedly.
PLUGINS. Even the most basic WordPress websites have multiple plugins that require constant updating in the correct sequence to avoid potentially serious issues. Squarespace handles all such updates seamlessly for all users.
SECURITY. Squarespace includes built-in security across all plans. With WordPress, security is never set and forget. It requires regular plugin updates, monitoring, firewall management and ongoing vulnerability checks.
MANAGEMENT. Once your site is built, you don’t need to be a web developer to make simple changes to text or images on Squarespace. Some clients even do this themselves. This is why my maintenance package pricing cost is so reasonable compared to WordPress site management.
DESIGN. Squarespace is widely recognised for producing professional websites that look seriously impressive. A really good-looking website turns browsers into buyers.
Some businesses pay thousands or more for a WordPress website build, then get charged sometimes outrageous monthly maintenance fees. Most small businesses can get a Squarespace website built for a fraction of the cost that both looks and functions beautifully. And virtually none of your customers will ever know - or care - that your website was built on Squarespace.

Storkroofing.com - A complete multi-page website redesign and expansion. I created a near-exact replica of their existing WordPress website on Squarespace, then added new pages, images, text and features. I optimised the entire site for SEO, including rewriting existing text, resulting in it ranking on the first page of Google search for four primary search terms.
Blackatomgroup.com - Originally a scratch-built, multi-page website, I later converted it to a one-page website. All text was written by me and most of the images are my original photography.
